Michał Bylina (11.09.1993)

Michał is a young, promising double bass player from Kraków, Poland. A member of www.grajnisko.pl – the first polish website about the double bass. He started playing this giant instrument in 2006 with prof. Witold Stryszowski who is still his principal teacher.

Michał’s passion is not only to play this giant instrument but he is also keen on arranging pieces for it (some of them are available on http://michalbylina.musicaneo.com/). Also interested in its history, literature and everything connected. He has especially fallen in love with brilliant works of Domenico Carlo Maria Dragonetti and charming compositions for the viennese violone.

In 2014 he took part in "B@ch fur uns" festival as a principal double bass under the conduction of Jan Tomasz Adamus from Capella Cracoviensis.

He also took classes from such outstanding musicians as: Kazimierz Pyzik, Krzysztof Firlus and Mark Caudle.
