A trio for 2 violas and double bass in form of a cassatio (similar to divertimento, serenade). Written entirely in classical style that resembles the music of Dittersdorf, Sperger, Hoffmeister, etc.
The origins of this piece are quite interesting because I had to play a concert with this combination of instruments and we had only found one composition by Johann Georg Albrechtsberger. As we still needed more repertoire, I decided to write something. |
